Face of Rebellion is the portraiture series that documents three generations of Iranians. The first generations having lived through the Iranian revolution and fought in the Iran-Iraq war, the second generation having been raised under the current reign of president Khomeini and the third being the modern generation born into the present Islamic nation that is Iran. This project explores all three generations and their stance on a country and regime that they fought for, lived under or never knew any different from. Each subject, regardless of age, partake in a silent rebellion in the face of their shared religious suppression with the clothes, makeup and fashion choices they make.
