As We Stand Guard
Who protects the national parks from violence and exploitation? Who places themselves in harm's way in order to stand guard over mother nature?
This is the photographic journey of the rangers from Upemba National Park, situated in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These brothers, sons, and fathers stand guard on the front lines to protect their ancestral land so that the native and endangered wildlife have an opportunity to return and repopulate.
This is their journey and a glimpse into these unseen heroes lives.
